Obituary

Michael Brooks Morris was born August 28, 1954 and transitioned to eternal life February 5, 2020.

Mike in his early career was a healthcare administrator in the hospital setting and transitioned into the long -term sector which is where he currently served. He was the Administrator at Apache Junction Healthcare for the last 4 years.

Mike was such an important part of our lives as well as those that he worked with. He was a mentor to many who he took under his wing to guide them. He cared deeply about those he served in his healthcare facility and expected the same of those who worked with him. Mike would always “roll up his sleeves” and work shoulder to shoulder with his staff. His is admired and loved by so many.

Mike is survived by his partner Barbara Crivellaro, his daughter Rebecca (Todd), his son Steven (Emily), granddaughter Sloane, his sister Nancy (Glenn) Lestz, his niece Loryn (Trevor) great nephew Leo and nephew Jeff.

Mike is preceded in death by his mother Eleanor and father Julian.

He will be dearly missed by all and he will forever be in our heart and soul.

Mike was one of the first administrators who gave me a chance as an RD Consultant in AZ. He always demanded the best - best food and dining, best survey, 0% weight loss, best resident satisfaction. Every survey he would say, "I am expecting citations at our different departments, so I need dietary to be deficiency free." Mike made us the best. Through the years, the conversation revolved around family and sports. He was so proud of his kids and Barb. His devotion to his parents was unsurpassed. Will miss your friendship and support, Mike. My deepest sympathy to his family. Know that Mike was loved by so many.

To the family, my heartfelt condolences for the loss of your loved one. May you find peace in knowing that your dear one is safe in the memory of God, who will remember every detail about them and bring them back again (Job 14:13,15). May these promises from God give you comfort now and real hope for the future. My deepest sympathy.

We have spent many hours on the phone over the years. One quality that always stood out was your commitment to your job and your family. I can still hear you raving about your Son and Daughter and all their personal and professional accomplishments. You were always so proud and it was so touching that as stressed out as things could be for you, talking about your children always made you so happy. You will be missed by so many.
